In this post adapted from a speech given at a Hoogland Center for Teacher Excellence event, Julie Apel, assistant headmaster at Hillsdale Academy, discusses lessons she’s learned after years in the classroom, what classical education can teach us about human nature, and three practical thoughts on the art of teaching.
